Chris Posporis

Chris is a board-certified EBVS®️ and RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery. He completed his ECVN residency at Pride Veterinary Referrals in 2020 and achieved diploma status in 2021. Prior to this, Chris gained valuable experience through two years in general practice, a one-year rotating internship at Pride, and a postgraduate certificate in Veterinary Surgery and Medicine from the University of Nottingham.

After his residency, Chris spent two years establishing a Neurology service at a referral hospital in the south of the UK before returning to Pride as a senior Neurologist. He specialises in managing complex Neurological cases, mentoring ECVN residents and Neurology interns, integrating clinical reasoning with evidence-based approaches in practice, and developing his emerging contributions to clinical research with focus on under reported Neurological conditions. His expertise spans all areas of Neterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery, with particular interests in Neuromuscular diseases, electrodiagnostics, spinal surgery, and Neuroimaging.

Chris has a long-standing passion for animal welfare, which began during his student years when he became actively involved in rescue work. Over the years, he has adopted more than ten rescue dogs and cats, including his current companions—two rescue dogs and two cats.

Originally from Cyprus, Chris values its vibrant culture, stunning nature, and beautiful beaches, often returning whenever possible. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, exploring the outdoors, spending quality time with friends and family, and embracing the joys of parenthood.
